Rep. Tim Burchett accused former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy of shoving him in a congressional hallway, claiming it was a deliberate “cheap shot.”

Burchett, who voted against McCarthy, stated he won’t take further action but ominously suggested McCarthy would be out by Christmas.

“You don’t expect that sort of thing from an adult, certainly not one who was once third in line for the White House,” Burchett stated. (Trending: Photos Released Of Cocaine Found In White House)

“I’ll take a polygraph test. And have Kevin take a polygraph test,” he added. “It was deliberate. It was just a cheap shot by a bully.”

“He’s going to be out by Christmas.”

The incident occurred while Burchett was speaking with a reporter, and he later expressed disappointment in McCarthy’s actions.

“No, no that was it. That’s it. He’s got $17 million to work against me. And he’s just a — he should have kept his word. I think that just showed what he’s about and it’s unfortunate.”

“Kevin McCarthy walked by, and he elbowed me in the kidneys,” Burchett pressed.

“There’s 435 congressmen. I was one of the eight that voted against him. That hallway, there’s plenty of room. You can walk forward side by side, he chose to do what he did,” Burchett added.

“I feel sorry for him, and I pray for him every day. You might not believe that, but I do, and I hope he finds some happiness in his life.”

Following McCarthy’s ouster, Louisiana Republican Mike Johnson was elected as the new House Speaker, aiming to focus on reducing spending and keeping the government funded.

Rep. Marc Molinaro (R-NY) stated, “Mike Johnson is a humble man who inspires us to work together.”

“I’m not afraid of it because I’m going to openly work [on] transparency with every member, and everyone will fully understand what we’re doing and why that’s a big part of it,” Johnson said.
