Former President Donald Trump expressed skepticism about the Republican candidates contending for the 2024 nomination, suggesting that none of them seem suitable for a running mate.

However, he praised South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, hinting that she might be considered for a potential role.

Trump also mentioned the possibility of selecting a woman as his running mate. (Trending: Court Hands Down Crucial 2nd Amendment Ruling)

“They’ll do anything: secretary of something, they even say VP. Has anyone seen a VP in that group? I don’t think so,” said Trump to his supporters in Michigan.

Trump has repeatedly spoken favorably about South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem.

“I think she’s fantastic. She’s been a great governor. She gave me a very full-throated endorsement, a beautiful endorsement.” recalled the former president.

Adding, “It’s been a very good state for me, and certainly, she would be one of the people I would consider for something else, maybe. We have a lot of great people in the Republican Party.”

Trump is open to a female, but insists that he is searching for “the right person.”

“You always do a little bit, but I don’t think it’s time,” Trump has said.

“I want to win, and, you know, it’s very interesting about running mates, when you get down to a vice president, they said, ‘Nobody has ever made that kind of a difference.’ It’s still about the person that’s going to be president,” declared Trump.

Several polls have produced this list of potential picks for Trump’s VP, that excludes those running the Republican primary.

Recent polling data shows Trump leading Biden in several key swing states, with a significant number of undecided voters.

Additionally, Trump’s polling numbers have been strong, and he has been outpolling Biden in recent months.
