Lawyers for two Georgia election workers presented audio recordings in a Washington courtroom, revealing graphic and racist threats the women received after being falsely accused of fraud by Rudy Giuliani and Donald Trump’s allies following the 2020 election.
The defamation lawsuit seeks to determine the amount of damages Giuliani must pay.

Attorney Von DuBose, who represents the women, said, “Mr. Giuliani and his co-conspirators stole the lives Ms. Moss and Ms. Freeman by destroying their names.”
Giuliani’s lawyer, Joseph Sibley argued for a lower award, claiming little evidence of his direct responsibility for the threats.
Sibley said, “This is something other people did independent of Mr. Giuliani,” dismissing Giuliani’s connection to the harassment of the two election workers.
He also called the financial damages being requested as the “civil equivalent of the death penalty.”
The case highlights the impact of baseless election fraud claims and the mounting legal and financial challenges faced by Giuliani.
