Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey has proposed $375 million in budget cuts due to a $1 billion shortfall for Fiscal Year 2024.

The cuts include reducing funding for firefighters in several cities and towns.

Additionally, the budget cuts eliminate $300 million in funding for Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program. (Trending: Hunter Biden’s Art Scheme Exposed By GOP Probe)

At the same time, the administration has introduced a program to provide college financial aid to illegal aliens, emphasizing accessibility to higher education for Massachusetts high school graduates.

“Quality higher education should be accessible to all Massachusetts high school graduates,” Healey said.

“Students who have long been part of our communities in Massachusetts should be eligible for the historic financial aid programs we have launched this year, and they should have every opportunity to grow their careers and be part of building our state’s workforce.”
