Rainn Wilson, known for his role as Dwight Schrute in “The Office,” shared a touching note from a fan, expressing gratitude for the show getting them through tough times.
Wilson, surprised by the gesture, thanked the flight attendant who left the note on his lap at the Portland International Airport.
He acknowledged the lasting impact of “The Office” and its ability to comfort and inspire viewers.
“The Office got me through some of the darkest days of my life. I can’t thank you enough for that,” the letter read.
“I didn’t even see who dropped this on my lap at the PDX airport, but I greatly appreciate the sentiment, flight attendant Melanie of Alaska Airlines. So humbled to be a part of a show that affected, touched, comforted, and inspired. And continues to do so! It’s so f—— rare,” Wilson wrote.
Wilson emphasized the show’s enduring legacy and its ability to resonate with people during challenging times.
He concluded by appreciating the sentiment behind the fan’s note, while also noting that it wasn’t an open invitation for more notes on napkins.
