An illegal immigrant from Venezuela has been charged with kidnapping and murdering a 22-year-old woman who was jogging on the campus of the University of Georgia.
Jose Antonio Ibarra allegedly used a fake green card to obtain a job as a dishwasher at the university.
Ibarra’s brother Diego was also arrested for using fraudulent identification.
Antonio Ibarra had previously been arrested in the US for drunk driving, shoplifting, and injuring a child, but was not turned over to immigration authorities due to local sanctuary policies.
