A blanket belonging to missing 3-year-old Elijah Vue has been discovered almost one month after his disappearance from an apartment in Two Rivers, Wisconsin.

Police Chief Ben Meinnert announced the red and white plaid blanket was found on Goodwin Road, about 3.7 miles from where Elijah was last seen.

“Today we can confirm the blanket is Elijah’s blanket,” Meinnert said.

Elijah’s mother Katrina Baur, 31, and the man watching him, Jesse Vang, 39, have been charged with child neglect related to Elijah being left with Vang for over a week.

Vang reported Elijah missing on February 20 after waking to find him gone.

The blanket’s discovery is considered a key clue in the ongoing search for Elijah across rural and urban areas, waterways, farms and more.

A $40,000 reward remains offered for information leading to Elijah.
